Plaguespreader Zombie vs Blackwing-Gale the whirlwind

Hey it's Alex again and i want to discuss a very HOT topic right now, tuners, but to be more specific plaguespreader zombie and Blackwing- Gale the whirlwind.

So these two tuners are the most(in)famous tuners in the game and the most splashable/flexible in any deck because they're flexible.here are the effects so there's no confusion.
Blackwing gale:
If you control a "Blackwing" monster other than "Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind", you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, you can halve the ATK and DEF of 1 face-up monster your opponent controls.
Plaguespreader zombie:
You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard by placing 1 card from your hand on top of your Deck. When this card is removed from the field after being Special Summoned by this effect, it is removed from play.
So let's look at gale first, it has 3 stars which makes it a tuner capable of bringing out the 5-8 star synchros with ease. It comes custom made with a shrink that is actually permanent which means the halving stays rather then just being there for one turn. Also Gale is typically best used in its home place of a blackwing deck. blizzard can recycle gale several times for greater tuning and it is also able to be special summoned because of its effect. so of course of it's custom shrink it saves u that one valuable card space which could be used by giant trunade or my body.
Now plaguespreader. this guy is probably the most reusable tuner in any deck where as gale is mostly reusable in blackwings. it's a lvl2 star tuner which is more likely to offer lvl 6 or 8 synchro monsters. Apart from being of greatest use in a zombie deck it has also found a place in twilight/lightsworn decks because even when it's milled it can br brought back by top decking one card. if that card happened to be wulf-lightsworn beast then u get a plus 1 when u mill it. although it offers great synchro opportunities it lacks in offensive skill as in comparison to gale which can take down 2500 which is good considering how a lot of monsters in the meta fall short of that number. i might be a bit bias on gale but that's because i run a bwing deck so i know it's strengths and possibly weaknesses.
So overall both are excellent tuners and it's still a fierce debate on which one is better. So yeah leave ur comment below on what u reckon is a better tuner as these two are the best of the best

  1. I like your review. The only thing that bothers me is your terrible grammar, but I'm not here to be a grammar nazi.

Anyway, you asked your readers to discuss which one is better. Personally, I believe Gale to be a better tuner than Plaguespreader. Plaguespreader is a great card because it can be summoned again after its initial use. However, most decks I run would prefer cards in the graveyard, not back into my deck. Topdecking a card makes me lose hand advantage and most of my decks overextend the hand far enough.

Gale is a beatstick in its own right. It takes down absolutely anything with less than 2600 atk. It also lets your other monsters become beatsticks as well, in comparison to your opponent's monsters. Not to mention the fact that Gale is most broken in Blackwings (although I believe the deck to be dying out).

Gale just seems to be more useful as a splashable card than plaguespreader zombie. I would also like to add that I don't believe those two tuners to be the best of the best. Whenever I construct a deck, I always make sure to include at least 1 of my 3 top tuners. This list consists of Blackwing Gale, Plaguespreader, and last but definitely not least, Junk Synchron.

Junk Synchron deserves a spot up there in the the top 3 tuners in the entire game (poor card needs a little more love). Easily recyclable, automatic synchro summon...this card does a ton! It's not even touched by the banlist, but it's still a powerful card.

Alright, that's enough of my mumble-jumble. Keep on doing your work and reviewing cards. I'm always on the lookout for the best / most interesting cards in the game.
